كانت تسبب لي الكثير من الاحراج
.. She used to cause me alot of embarrassments

كانت تطبخ للطلاب و المعلمين لكي تساند العائلة

ذات يوم بينما كنت بالمدرسة المتوسطة قدمت امي لتلقي علي التحية.. One time when i was in the middle school she cameto say hi to
me and check on me

لقد كنت محرجاً جداً .. كيف استطاعت ان تفعل هذا بي
.. I was so embarrassed.. How could she do that tome
..
لقد تجاهلتها , احتقرتها ... رمقتها بنظرات حقد ... و هربت بعيداً
.. I ignored her... Looked at her with hate... And ranaway from her
..
باليوم الثاني أحد طلاب فصلي وجه كلامه لي ساخراً
" إيييييييي , امك تملك عيناً واحدة "
..
.. The next day... One of my classmates started to make fun of me
saying " ohhhh... Your mother have one eye!!!"
..
أردت ان ادفن نفسي وقتها , و تمنيت أن تختفي امي للأبد.. I felt like burying my self at that time and i hoped for my mom to
disappear for ever

فواجهتها ذلك اليوم قائلاً :
" أن كنت فقط تريدين ان تجعلي مني مهزلة , فلم لا تموتين ؟ "

.. So i faced her on that day saying "if you wanted to make me
farce of me... Why don't you die?"

مكثت امي صامتة ... و لم تتفوه بكلمة واحدة
.. She remained on silence.. She didn't even say a word

لم أفكر للحظة فيما قلته , لأني كنت سأنفجر من الغضب.. I never thought of what i've said... I was gonna explode from
anger...

كنت غافلاً عن مشاعرها
.. I ignored her feelings
..
اردت الخروج من ذلك المنزل , فلم يكن لدي شيء لأعمله معها.. I wanted to leave that house... I had nothing to dowith her...
..
لذا أخذت أدرس بجد حقيقي , حتى حصلت فرصة للسفر خارج البلاد.. So i started to study good.... Until i had a chanceto leave the
country...
..
بعد ذلك تزوجت ... و امتلكت منزلي الخاص
.. After that i got married and opened my ownhouse....
..
كان لي اطفال .. و كونت اسرتي
.. I had some children and i made my own family
..
كنت سعيداً بحياتي الجديدة
.. I was happy with my new life
كنت سعيداً بأطفالي , و كنت في قمة الارتياح
.. I was happy with my children... And was relaxed
في أحد الأيام ... جاءت أمي لتزورني بمنزلي
.. One day, my mother came to visit me
..
هي لم تراني منذ أعوام ... و لم ترى احفادها و لو لمرة واحدة
..
.. She haven't seen me for a few years.. Also she never saw her
grandchildren, not even once...
..
عندما وقفت على باب منزلي , اطفالي أخذوا يضحكون منها
..
.... When she stood infront of my door, my childrenstarted to
laugh at her...
..
لقد صرخت عليها بسبب قدومها بدون موعد
" كيف تجرأتي و قدمتي لمنزلي و ارعبت اطفالي ؟ "
...
" أخرجي من هنا حالاً "

.. I sceamed at her because she came without warning me and
said "how dare you came to my house an sared my children ? Get
out now"

جاوبت بصوت رقيق " عذراً , أسفة جداً , لربما تبعت العنوان الخطأ "
.. She answered me with a sweet voice, "i'm sorry, maybe i got the
wrong adress."

منذ ذلك الحين ... اختفت اميأحد الأيام , وصلتني رسالة من المدرسة بخصوص لم الشمل بمنزلي
..

..one day i recived a letter from the school for a family reunion
in my house...

لذا كذبت على زوجتي و اخبرتها اني مسافر في رحلة عمل.. So i had to lie to my wife and told her that im leaving for some
buisness

بعد الانتهاء من لم الشمل .... توجهت لكوخي العتيق حيث نشأت.. After the reunion... I went to my old house where iwas raised....

كان فضولي يرشدني لذلك الكوخ احد جيراني أخبرني " لقد توفيت والدتك ! "

.. لم تذرف عيناي بقطرة دمع واحدة.. I didnt cry with not even one tear

كان لديها رساله أرادت مني أن اعرفها قبل وفاتها.. She had a letter that she wanted me to readbefore she died...
" أبني العزيز , لم ابرح افكر فيك طوال الوقت , أنا آسفة لقدوميلبيتك و ارعابي لأطفالك ,

لقد كنت مسرورة عندما عرفت انك قادم بيوم لم الشمل بالمدرسة ,

فقد كنت مصدر احراج لك في فترة صباك...
